Server templates

Copy one server’s configuration onto another.

A server template is a snapshot of your Bao configuration that you can apply to another server.

Typical use cases: you run several communities, you are preparing a test server, or you are relaunching a server with the same organisation.

Exporting

From Templates, choose the areas to include: welcome, autorole, role menus, levels, tickets, moderation, giveaways, logs… Bao builds a reusable template.

Previewing before applying

On the destination server, the preview shows you, line by line:

  • what will be created;
  • what will be overwritten;
  • what cannot be applied, and why.

Channels and roles are matched by name. When Bao finds no equivalent, it tells you instead of guessing: it is up to you to pick the target, or to leave the setting empty.

Applying

Applying is an explicit, confirmed write. It only touches the areas you ticked.

Server templates are included from Bao Gourmet onwards.
