AI credits

What a reply consumes, and how to keep the bill in hand.

AI support is the only module in Bao whose cost varies with use. It is measured in credits.

What consumes them

Each reply consumes credits according to:

  • the agent's model (a Maximum tier costs several dozen times an Essential tier);
  • the size of the knowledge base re-read on every reply;
  • the length of the conversation and of the reply;
  • the images analysed, if vision is enabled.

The dashboard shows, for each agent, an estimated cost per reply, calculated on your real knowledge base.

Monthly allowance

Each plan includes a credit allowance per month:

PlanCredits included
Bao Royal30,000
Bao Royal Suprême60,000
Bao Royal Absolu300,000

A top-up of 10,000 credits is available occasionally. Beyond two top-ups a month, moving up a plan costs less: the top-up is there to tide you over, not to replace a tier.

Alerts

Bao warns you at 80% and then at 100% of your allowance. On exhaustion, the agents stop answering and the rest of the bot keeps working normally.

Reducing consumption

  1. Lower the model tier. This is by far the most powerful lever.
  2. Trim the base: removing documents that are never useful lowers the price of every reply.
  3. Shorten replies with the maximum length.
  4. Restrict public channels, or switch to watch mode instead of mention.
  5. Lower the quotas per member per hour.
  6. Reserve the agent for certain roles.
