Audit log

Everything happening on the server, in one channel.

The audit log mirrors your server's Discord events into a channel. Everything goes to one single channel.

Available events

They are enabled one by one.

Members: join, leave, kick, role change, nickname change, boost start and end.

Messages: edit, delete, bulk delete, pin.

Sanctions: ban, unban, timeout.

Channels and threads: creation, deletion, modification, for channels as well as threads.

Roles: creation, deletion, modification.

Voice: join, leave, move, server mute, server deafen, screen share, camera.

Server: settings changes, creation and deletion of emoji and stickers, creation and deletion of invites.

Exclusions

Ignored channels: their events are never logged. Useful for a spam channel or a commands channel.
Ignored roles: actions by holders of these roles are not logged.
Ignore bots: actions by other bots are not logged. Strongly recommended, otherwise a music bot fills the log on its own.

Prerequisite

Bao needs the View Audit Log permission to attribute certain events to their author (who deleted this message, who banned this member).

Advice

Start by enabling the events you will genuinely use: deleted messages, role changes, bans. Enabling everything produces an unreadable wall nobody will ever read back.
