What is Bao?
What Bao does, and what it replaces on your server.
Bao is a single Discord bot, installable in one click, that gathers into one tool what most servers assemble from five or six different bots.
Everything is configured from a web dashboard. There are no commands to learn in order to set anything up: commands exist, but they are for day-to-day use, not for configuration.
What Bao can do
| Area | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Messages | Scheduled messages, recurring messages, multi-step campaigns |
| Community | Welcome and farewell, roles on join, role menus, levels and XP |
| Tickets | Opening panels, forms, claiming, transcripts, statistics |
| AI support | Agents that answer members from the server's own knowledge |
| Moderation | Rule-based auto-moderation, escalating sanctions, anti-raid |
| Giveaways | Entries earned through tasks, weighted draws, anti-fraud |
| Premium roles | Automatic granting of paid roles from your shop |
| Logs | Server audit log, moderation log, delivery log |
| AI control | An MCP connector to drive Bao from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor… |
One server, one configuration
All configuration belongs to the server, not to the person who entered it. Every administrator of a given server sees and edits the same configuration: there is nothing to reinstall or re-share when a new person joins the team.
Where to start
- Install Bao on your server.
- Open the dashboard and pick the server to manage.
- Turn features on one by one. Nothing is active by default, beyond the bare minimum.
Coming from another bot? Bao can read its configuration and offer to carry it over. See Carrying over another bot's configuration.
