Draw, closing and reroll

The draw

At the deadline, Bao closes automatically and draws. The draw is:

• weighted: each entry is one chance;
• without replacement: the same participant cannot win two places;
• cryptographically random: the result is neither predictable nor reproducible.

The winners are announced in the giveaway's channel, with the message you wrote.

Closing early

You can close manually at any time. The draw happens immediately, on the entries already recorded.

Rerolling

If a winner does not answer or has cheated, a reroll draws a replacement. Previous winners can be excluded from the reroll.

Cancelling

Cancelling stops the giveaway without a draw. The announcement is updated to say so, rather than leaving an active message that leads nowhere.

Statistics

Each giveaway has its statistics page: number of participants, the curve of entries over time, top participants, top referrers, most-completed tasks, and the list of winners.

The curve is particularly useful: it tells you whether your announcements genuinely revive participation, or whether everything is decided in the first hour.
