Scheduled messages
Write today what goes out tomorrow.
A scheduled message is a message Bao will send on its own, in the channel and at the time you chose.
Creating a message
From Messages → New message:
- Destination channel.
- Date and time of delivery.
- Content: text, embed, or both.
- Role to mention (optional): added at the head of the message.
The editor shows a live Discord preview: what you see is what your members will see.
Drafts
A message can stay a draft as long as you like: it then needs neither channel, nor date, nor content, and it will never go out. Switching it to scheduled triggers full validation.
The dashboard saves your drafts automatically while you write.
The statuses

| Draft | Being written, will not go out |
| Scheduled | Validated, will go out at the planned date |
| Sent | Delivered successfully |
| Failed | Delivery did not go through, the reason is shown |
| Cancelled | Cancelled before delivery |
The calendar
The main screen shows your deliveries as a monthly calendar. Each day carries coloured dots according to status. Click a message to open it.
Rules
- You cannot schedule in the past (except for a recurring message).
- Bao must have the right to write in the chosen channel. It checks before accepting, not at delivery time.
- A scheduled message can be edited or cancelled as long as it has not gone out.
- A failed message can be retried in one click.
Mass mentions
@everyone and @here are possible, provided Bao holds the Mention Everyone permission. They are deliberately flagged in the editor: this is the kind of delivery you do not want to make by accident.
Command
/schedule lets you schedule a message without going through the dashboard.
